2012 MYA IOM Veterans National Championships @ Birkenhead

To be held over the weekend of the 7th & 8th of July 2012 this years IOM veterans is being hosted by Birkenhead PB & MYC.

For those who haven’t been before the venue has parking close to the water with easy launching and retrieval of boats.

MDCS 2012 Round 2 – Bournville

Today we finally got the MDCS 2012 under way with the first Round 2 at Bournville (confused??)

A good breeze from the right direction produced some interesting sailing for 21 skippers with Chris Harris securing the win with Martin Roberts Lintel. A good second from Greg King with Darin Ballington in 3rd keeping the Britpop!s at the front of the fleet.

Skipper and club scores are on the MDCS Series page but are not complete as Gordon Sears will score average points as ARO.

It is our intention to re-run Round 1 – Market Bosworth later in the year so it may only be after that event we may know the winner of the Team Sheild. For now though Bournville take the lead with the home advantage and Leicester take second with a full house from 4 skippers. Manor Park limited the damage of having only 2 scores from this event so remain in contention for future events.

Watermead next and who travels to Aylesbury and 2 Islands will probably determine the final result. .

Castle Semple Ranking

A number of skippers made the trip up to Castle Semple this weekend and experienced lovely weather, a beautiful setting, fantastic facilities, a well organised event and (once again this year) bl..dy awful wind.
